Eustachian tube: Probably due to Eustachian tube congestion; this tube connects the inner ear with the back of the nose and throat. If you have no voice, the cause is much more likely to be viral (ie you don't need antibiotics). Eustachian tube: The tube that drains mucous from your middle ear is likely swollen due to the cold. It can open and close when you chew or "pop" your ear and such maneuvers allow the air in and the pressure change can be uncomfortable. Ear wax impaction:
You have likely pushed ear wax deep into the ear canal and up against the eardrum. When you swallow or burp and create a pressure gradient through the middle ear cavity, the eardrum typically moves to accommodate the change, unless something is preventing it from effectively doing so.

It could be: Most of your symptoms are compatible with GERD. GERD can cause burping, chest and throat burning or sharp pain, and occasional shortness of breath. I'm not sure the ear pain is related. External & middle ear infections, dental problems, foreign bodies (moths, beads etc.) sinus infections & tonsillitis can present as ear pain. I've probably missed a few other conditions. I would call your pediatrician's office first to see if they have any urgent care appointments. Also look for signs of other illness in your child, fever, nausea vomiting. You may give ibuprofren for pain.

Likely a variant of: You need to be evaluated. Likely what is called trigeminal -autonomic neuralgia for which medications like Lyrica (pregabalin) could work. Sometimes naprosyn works.
