I have a small painless bony lump above each of my ears (on top of root of helix), may I know what is that? Just bones or something else?
Symmetrical (equal or almost equal both sides) chances are its your skull! (Phrenology I the study of such bumps which used to me a form of medical diagnosis)

Injury or infection: Have you injured it? If so, blood can accumulate under the skin and cause permanent swelling/deformity (cauliflower ear). It needs to be seen right away and sometimes drained.
