I have a small painless bony lump above each of my ears (on top of root of helix), may I know what is that? Just bones or something else?
Symmetrical (equal or almost equal both sides) chances are its your skull! (Phrenology I the study of such bumps which used to me a form of medical diagnosis)

Injury or infection: Have you injured it? If so, blood can accumulate under the skin and cause permanent swelling/deformity (cauliflower ear). It needs to be seen right away and sometimes drained. If not, it may be infected. Do you have ear canal drainage or pain? Ear canal infections can contribute. Did you sleep on it in an uncomfortable way?
