I'm a renal transplant patient.l want to take dymatize elite whey protein isolate. Is it safe for me?
I started gyming few months ago, now my trainer reffed me to use myofusion elite protein shakes. I have heard that some shakes contains steroid.
Protein supplements: are urged by many trainers...and they may be helpful in some if used cautiously. The main goal is a high protein diet for muscle building; the more you can get from healthy food, the better. If i were to have a meal with 50g of protein and then lift weights about 5-8 hours later, would the protein still be beneficial for me?
Maybe not: The time it takes for the body to digest the proteins depend on the type of protein. They are made of Amino Acids and the more Amino Acids in a protein, the slower the metabolism will be. But still, it may take about 4-5 hours for the protein to leave the small intestine. I recommend you eat your high protein meal within 2-3 hours of training, can be before or after. www.otwithmd.com. ...Read more

Kidney issues.: There can be a small amount of protein (<30mg) seen on a 24 hr urine specimen, but anything above that could indicate kidney disease. Generally the greater amount of protein, the more serious the disorder. A nephrologist can help diagnose kidney problems based on the urine findings, other lab tests, your history and exam. Sometimes a kidney biopsy is necessary for diagnosis. Best of luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
