I started gyming few months ago, now my trainer reffed me to use myofusion elite protein shakes. I have heard that some shakes contains steroid.
Protein supplements: are urged by many trainers...and they may be helpful in some if used cautiously. The main goal is a high protein diet for muscle building; the more you can get from healthy food, the better. I can not find information about this shake having steroids added; I did find some information about the manufacturer's adding amino acids instead of pure whey protein. Bottom line: get your protein from diet. ...Read more
Is 100 grams of protein daily a lot considering i workout 5 days a week for around an hour and a half?
I heard our bodies only absorb about 25 grams of protein every one or two hours. Does that mean if i eat more than that, then it's a waste?
4-6 hours: Food remains in your stomach for 4-6 hours. These is not much digestion taking place in the stomach which mainly breaks the food down into its elements. Most of the digestion/absorption takes place in the small intestine over 8-12 hours. ...Read more
If i were to have a meal with 50g of protein and then lift weights about 5-8 hours later, would the protein still be beneficial for me?
Maybe not: The time it takes for the body to digest the proteins depend on the type of protein. They are made of Amino Acids and the more Amino Acids in a protein, the slower the metabolism will be. But still, it may take about 4-5 hours for the protein to leave the small intestine. I recommend you eat your high protein meal within 2-3 hours of training, can be before or after. www.otwithmd.com. ...Read more

Hello. Some people says that eating any food contain protein and following it with milk within 3 hours that will cause lose of iron inside the body?

Protein is necessary: You should aim to get about 20 g of protein daily. Realizing that some of that is in your diet, be careful not to "overdue" because the metabolism of nitrogen in protein can burden your kidneys. Protein is fine after exercise, as it keeps your metabolism up and contributes energy that you have burned. A balanced approach (bar with protein, carb, and lipid) might be better, however. ...Read more
Protein shakes: Taking in protein anytime will still be helpful. However, it is most beneficial when taking it the same day as your workout. Some experts say you should consume protein shakes within an hour of your workout. I'm not so sure it needs to be that strict but at least shoot for the same day. ...Read more

Helpful rule: If you're trying to put on muscle, take a gram of protein per kilogram that your body weighs now. If you're just exercising, maybe 2/3 of that. You will trim down when, and only when, your lifestyle is fitness-focused. "Exercising an hour to lose fat" will fail because it's boring and frustrating. Being always mindful of what you eat, and finding fitness stuff you truly enjoy, will be the key. ...Read more
