Dutasteride Hair Loss
Alopecia is the loss of hair. Hair loss can be caused by different reasons, including damage to the hair shaft or follicles. Fungal infections can also cause hair loss. There are two main types of alopecia. Alopecia areata occurs when the body's immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out. Androgenetic alopecia, on the other hand, is an inherited form of hair loss. With alopecia areata, hair can fall out in patches all over the body. With androgenetic alopecia, hair on the head thins and falls out. In men, this is called male pattern hair loss; in women, it is called female diffuse hair loss. About 60% of people with androgenetic alopecia are men. Hair loss caused by ...Read more
No studies submitted: In order for a drug to be approved by the fda for a specific problem, the company must do clinical studies that demonstrate that the drug does what they are perporting. Unless the makers of Dutasteride do studies demonstrating it is effective to stop hair loss, it can not be marketed for that purpose. It costs hundreds of millions of dollars to do these studies. ...Read more
Can 'topical' finasteride or dutasteride (scalp lotion) inhibit DHT on scalp? ı mean ,can topical finasteride or dutasteride treat male baldness
Hello I d be grateful if you could tell me what the recommended dosage of avodart 0 5 mg dutasteride is for long term use against male pattern baldness I ve been told contradictory things and read different amounts online and is it ok to switch from dutas
Not approved for it: Avodart is only indicated/approved for treatment of prostatic enlargement(bph) and nothing else, yet. It is in the same class as Finasteride (propecia) which is indicated for male pattern baldness treatment. It works for some and not others. It may decrease libido and causes other side effcts. If u r using avodart, consider Propecia as it is approved for both. Consult doc. Good luck. ...Read more
Minoxidil & nizoral: There may be others out there, but the only two I am aware of are minoxidil topically, and nizoral shampoo. Both have been shown to help in clinical studies. Be careful, because there are a lot of scams out there for baldness cures etc, because it's a common problem. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
NONE!!!: No vitamin or protein will make the slightest difference. See a dermatologist, start with a diagnosis. OTC minoxidil and prescription oral pills (finasteride, dutasteride) can be very successful. Hair transplants are standard. Most men just ignore it. Shaved heads are very cool.Bald men with beards look distinguished. "Natural" has no meaning. Instead you ask what works and how safe it is and cost ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I am having hair loss while massaging my hair with hair oil, and also hair is too thin. Suggest me some simple home remedies?
Hair transplants ARE: permanent if the hair is taken from the sides and back of the head where male pattern baldness doesn't occur. But if you are 18 years old and you are already losing your hair, then you have many more years of potential hairloss ahead of you. A transplant isn't a good idea this early. It's best to treat aggressively now with topical minixodil and oral dutasteride to slow or stop the loss. ...Read more
I am 23 years old.i am planning to use minoxidil to treat my hair loss.just want to know
1)the disadvantages of it
2)should i use it for my age?
Use foam version for: fewer skin reactions than liquid. You must use it TWICE a day EVERY day to know if it works for you. It treats top of head, not receding hairline, which may concern you. Also consider propecia or dutasteride Rx for best results. Start now because early results are better.
