PET uptake can be up: Pet uptake can go up with any kind of inflammation also. So it is not necessarily due to cancer getting worse or spreading. I think it is likely due to the stent. ...Read more

Medicated stents are designed to prevent this restenosis. In smaller vessels such as heart vessels there is a proven benefit.
