Right sided pain in the front of the body, just under the rib cage can be caused by, but not limited to gallbladder, liver, colon or appendix issues. Rib cage: Location of pain middle to left side rib is above kidney location. Make sure you have no shingle rash. Have cxr, rib cage xr , mid thoracic and also kub x-ray. That will you give you an idea. It can be simple musculoskeletal pain but it is only ruled in when other serious heart and lung conditions are ruled out. Musculoskeletal: Because the pain was aggravated by movement, it is likely to be musculoskeletal, and since it disappeared after 10-15 minutes, i wouldn't worry about it. You may have strained a muscle the day before, perhaps you had a restless and uncomfortable sleep. If it recurs, see your doctor. Odd: That is a bit odd, the classic symptoms of acid reflux is burning, mid abdomen, right under the middle of your rib cage, and pain can radiate up into the chest. I suspect it could cause discomfort like you are saying, but make sure you are on top of treating your symptoms with medications. You can try some Tums as needed for discomfort or daily Zantac (ranitidine) or Prilosec daily for the next month ...Read more
