Dull aching pain in lower back, groin, and down to knees? Do I have cancer or leaukimia ?

Dull aching pain in lower back, groin, and down to knees? Do I have cancer or leaukimia ?

?Hernia ?Back Disc: Unlikely cancer! sometimes small groin hernias will push on nerves very early, before you can feel a lump, and cause the kind of pain that you're describing. Another possibility is a herniated disc in your back, pressing on the nerves to go to these areas. You need to see a physician to sort this out, may need x-rays, and perhaps even a referral to a specialist. Good luck and get well soon! ...Read more

After standing for a while or when running, i get a dull ache behind my leg--in the tops of my calves, right under the back of my knees. Why?

After standing for a while or when running, i get a dull ache behind my leg--in the tops of my calves, right under the back of my knees. Why?

Achilles Tendonitis: Probable achilles tendinitis which is stretching the tendon where it inserts on the heel. Try wearing a heel lift in your shoe or a slight heel to relax the tendon from its insertion. Ice, rest, topical irritants like icy hot or bengay can help to. If it doesn't get better visit your local doctor for further evaluation and treatment. ...Read more

I have a dull aching pain in my lower back (left side) I have numbness and tingling in my left thigh down to my knee. ?

I have a dull aching pain in my lower back (left side) I have numbness and tingling in my left thigh down to my knee. ?

Unpinch the nerve.: Sounds like you have a disk herniation. As long as the pain is tolerable, and you do not have progressive increasing weakness, or lose the ability to control the bladder or bowels, the vast majority of disk herniations can be treated without surgery. I recommend you get a good exam by a spine specialist, then follow instructions on use of medications, stretchs and activities modifications. ...Read more

My husband wakes up with sore legs often. Its dull aches from toes to knees and lower back. He thinks its from walking in flip flops. Do you agree?

Yes: Flip flops offer no support for your feet and arches. As a result the arches fall or pronate. This creates an imbalance which places more pressure on the inside or medial aspect of both feet. There is more pressure on the toes and there is internal rotation or torque on both knees, hips. This will make hom tip forward when he stands and place more strain on his lower back. Try rainbow sandals. ...Read more

I have a dull ache in the lower right side of my back. I have been on ibuprofen for arthritis in my knee for a few months. Is this my kidney acting up?

Kidney mid back: You are right to be concerned about kidney damage with regular use of Ibuprofen. The kidney is tucked under the ribs in your back. If this is where you are having pain or there is blood in your urine then be checked. Otherwise have a routine review of your kidneys because of your medication. All the best. ...Read more

My back keeps going out, my knee keeps locking and im in so much pain everywhere and so sore that its hard to do things and I'm only 16!?

You need evaluation: it's hard to be clear with what's going on, but you need to see your physician and you may need to be referred to a rheumatologist. I cannot tell if this is a mechanical or inflammatory or even a possible hereditary problem. These are the things your physician needs to evaluate and help clarify it for you ...Read more

My left knee frequently locks. When it happens, I pop it back in place. Hours later, it is sore and painful to bend/extend. What can it be?

Is it both knees or: just one? How often has it been going on? Is it only while doing certain positions, or certain movements, like going up stairs, going down stairs, when sitting, when standing. It can be like popping a joint, and you are hearing it 'pop' in place. So it could feel uncomfortable when you extend or flex it. If it gets inflamed, you need to see a doctor and get it imaged. ...Read more

I have had back of knee pain for a few weeks, sore when straightening from acute angle and hurts most if a twist happens. Should I use a support?

Investigate why?: Sounds like it could be a Bakers cyst! These are knee fluid collection in a cyst behind the knee, likely as a result of trauma, wear and tear,i.e. A torn meniscus?, should get an MRI to better understand why this is occurring!A support may make it worse! Need to find out what causes the fluid buildup up! May need to aspirated knee, please see a rheumatologist or Ortho, Best! ...Read more
