Pa diagnosed very silent bowels. Treated with ducolax. So far lots of loose or liquid bm's. Does that mean it's working? Is very silent bowels bad?

I would call"very quiet bowel sounds" an observation, not a diagnosis.Perhaps, with the ducolax, s/he assumed you were constipated. Not sure what mean: Cysts within the thyroid contain fluid, typically colloid, sometimes blood. Colloid can be very thick (looks like motor oil). The viscosity has more to do with how long it has been there rather than to whether it is worrisome or not. ...Read more
What form of medication or supplement gets absorbed fastest? I was thinking maybe chewable tablets or liquid gel capsules.
Varies: It depends upon what medication you are talking about. In general, however, fastest absorption is the sublingual route, where the medication is placed under the tongue. Very few medications, however, are designed to be taken this way. Next fastest are usually the gel caps. Chewables actually have about the same absorption as solid pills. No way to tell : Unfortunately, dietary supplements are regulated as foods (as opposed to drugs). As such, they are not required to undergo the same testing (or prove their claims to be true).
