Keep it up: The most common cause of weight gain i see in dieting patients is erroneous food journaling (underestimation of intake or calorie content of food) or overestimation of caloric needs. I gained 35lb in 6mo. No change to diet/exercise. 1000-1200 calories of a gluten-free, dairy-free, all organic diet. Low WBC, High ALT, .49TSH. Ideas?
Weight gain: When you say low WBC do you know how low? Also what was your T4 level? Sometimes people that are in extreme stressful conditions, poor sleep or high cortisol levels tend to affect your overall adrenal system. Did a low carb diet 2012, lost weight & the felt great. Eating carbs again & feel tied. Is a low carb diet bad? Was supplementing vitb, not anymore.
No safe ones: Crash diets can produce rapid weight loss but often are lacking in essential nutrients. Also because they are so restrictive, they lower your metabolic rate, so when you stop the diet (and you will because they are not sustainable) you regain the weight. Possible, but: It may be that even 1200 calories is too much for you, depending upon your height. The shorter you are, the fewer calories you require.
