Keep it up: The most common cause of weight gain i see in dieting patients is erroneous food journaling (underestimation of intake or calorie content of food) or overestimation of caloric needs. If these are not the case, then i might consider some other hormonal conditions, like cushing's disease / hypercortisolism. ...Read more

Weight gain: When you say low WBC do you know how low? Also what was your T4 level? Sometimes people that are in extreme stressful conditions, poor sleep or high cortisol levels tend to affect your overall adrenal system. Possible, but: It may be that even 1200 calories is too much for you, depending upon your height. The shorter you are, the fewer calories you require.
