Dsm 4 Axis 1
I had a post lasik enhancement after the doctor made a mistake in adding one next to the axis; however, free enhancement is done four weeks after the original. It has now been three weeks but there is still no improvement. What should I do?
Lasik enhancement: It is unclear the extent of the error, but usually enhancements are possible. You should continue to follow up with your doctor and see if there are any other problems -- dry eye, issues with the flap, or perhaps you ended up slightly over or under corrected and you can discuss that with your surgeon, it may be mild, or ask for copies of the report and notes and seek a second opinion. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers
I fell when i was 13 a space was built between one of the atlas and axis of the spine.I constantly have waist pains and can that affect my sex?
Shouldn't: Fusion of c1-c2 results in pronounced loss of motion, but should not create other symptoms. If you have not had these symptoms since the fracture was treated, then it is unlikely related. Potentially a stress fracture (spondylolysis) in the lumbar spine could create severe pain worse with back extension. Simple xrays usually diagnostic. Further evaluation warranted if pain is severe. ...Read more

My script is sph+0.50cyl-0.25 both eyes and axis is 096 in one and 100 in the other then it says add+1.50 how bad is my vision do i need glasses?
Minor distance power: Your distance correction is small and you could function well without correcting that. You did not state your age, but apparently are over 40 and need near magnification for presbyopia which is age related. You could get this over the counter. A bifocal could be made which would give you the convenience of having one eyeglass for all distances. ...Read more
My eye power pres. Is, od:sphere+0.75cylinder-1.00. Axis 120, os:+1.00.-0.75., 075. Add.+2.50.What power reading glass(temporary one, drug store)?
+2.50: +2.50 would probably be the closest, but try them on. Pick the weakest ones that let you read at a comfortable distance. Remember, the stronger the glasses, the closer you have to hold the reading material and the smaller the range of vision. So, for a computer distance you might try a 1.25. ...Read more
Optometry: Why is it that not one of 3 optometrists I saw for an eye exam matched axis (were in -65 to 125 range) scores? Affect my visual comfort?
Unusual: Some glass prescriptions are written in plus cylinder, and others in minus cylinder-- depends on geography. This is one reason why two prescriptions can have different numbers and be the same. That does not sound like your case, however. Some of those numbers have to be incorrect. ...Read more

Deferred Diagnoses: A code of 799.9 on either Axis I or Axis II according to DSM-IV criteria means that the diagnosis is deferred. A deferred diagnosis generally means that there isn't enough information to make a definitive diagnosis. What's my 20/X vision with a sphere of -5.25, a cyl of -0.50, 116 axis in OD/-5.50 sphere, cyl of -.25, axis of 074 OS?
Your prescription: Your eyeball is not a perfect mathematical sphere. As light comes from the outside it refracts through your lens to get back to your retina and thense to your brain. When the doc kept on putting different lenses in front of your eyes and asked you which was clearer he was experimenting with different lenses to get the "right" fit for your defective eyes. That's just a code. Review your physics! ...Read more
