Just a thought: You may have an inflammation of one of your facial nerves called Trigeminal Neuralgia or "Tic Douloureux" Google it and discuss it with your PCP. When are you in the clear for developing dry socket? 6 days out from extraction. Mild throbbing. Gums sore. Whitish color in socket.

Sore throats tricky: It's so hard to predict accurately when a sore throat IS NOT a strep throat. Your symptoms SOUND like either viral pharyngitis or allergic, right? But, you could also have strep. I would drink fluids, take a little something to knock the pain down a little, maybe some Motrin, and get a strep test done...you can go to a Minute Clinic or something....but I'd get it done. ...Read more
