Yes: Prescription meds for acne are cheap and safe. May i respectfully suggest a trial, first, of topical Clindamycin alone. If it doesn't work as well as you would like, move to a systemic antibiotic such as Erythromycin or tetracycline that's right for you. If control's still not good, a dermatology visit is in order. Skin issues: Oily and scaling skin on the face may be seborrheic dermatitis. Acne is another problem. I would suggest referral to dermatologist for a full exam. Acne may respond to benzoyl peroxide and topical or oral antibiotics or vitamin a derivatives. The benzoyl peroxide will not clear you, and you will need prescription-strength rx added to it.
