Suspect Dandruff!: Scalp dryness and flakes are an indication of dandruff. You may benefit from using a shampoo with Salsun -Blue(Sulphur containing) and use a good conditioner after a good shampoo rub. It should settle down in 2-3 weeks of daily use. If it comes back or if it does not go away, you may have to see a dermatologist who can prescribe Coal tar based shampoos which may work better. ...Read more

Seb derm? Psoriasis?: Most likely you have seborrheic dermatitis -- the medical term for dandruff. However, don't assume it without professional evaluation. Psoriasis also is a possibility and requires more intensive treatment. If no severe itching, probably no big hurry, but show it to your doctor one of these days, or a dermatologist.
