Dry Inflamed Skin On Face
My husband has Red inflamed Skin blotches on his face, he has had it before. When I change the Shampoo then usually it happens. Something OTC?
Hives: This sounds like a somewhat serious reaction -and I would try to get more information about it. It's possible he is allergic to something in the shampoo, although I would want to know all his exposures. Unfortunately, allergy can become worse with the next episode. Do you know if this time it was worse than before? He should see an allergist or reach out to a doc here on health tap for better care ...Read more

Very red inflamed skin w endless acne cysts for 15 yrs. Sometimes 20+ cysts in face at once. Finally clearing. Could this be from bigger health issues?
See a dermatologist: Your acne is hormonal. Do you have normal menstrual cycles? Birth control? Some birth control makes acne better, some make it worse. Spironolactone at 100mg a day is probably where you should be. If not responding after a few months, isotretinoin orally for 20 weeks will rescue you. No acne pills should be used if you are pregnant. ...Read more

What is done is done and you need not worry about one episode of skin burn. Do take care to prevent recurrences. Wear protective clothing and use sun screen when expecting exposure to sun.

This is not HIV: HIV does not announce itself as a rash on your penis in any case. Chances are that this is a minor hygiene problem or perhaps mild allergy to clothing or detergent. Foreskin Foresight: That's probably the margin where the foreskin was removed during your briss...mazel tov...So any kind of repeated friction could irritate that area. Yes possibly from masturbation, rough sex, a bottle of herring, an empty milk bottle, a sock, a baseball mitt or even a piece of liver (just ask Portnoy).I wouldn't worry too much unless it gets infected & hurts a lot. In that case, I'd lay off the herring. ...Read more
Have sensitive and slightly red skin on my cheeks after using 0.2% betamethasone valerate cream on face to get rid of an excezma like break out?
Stop using it.: Betamethasone is a strong steroid cream that should not be used on the face. Short-term it will cause sensitivity such as what you experienced; long-term it can cause "rebounds", where the rash comes back with a vengeance when you stop using it, or even rosacea. Try an otc Hydrocortisone cream to get rid of the rash, and if that doesn't work, see a dermatologist. ...Read more

When exercising: clogged ears, raised heart rate, hard eyes, pulsating neck and head, red skin blotches on face, feels like walking on air why?
? physiologic: During exercise the heart rate, blood pressure, and cardiac output increase and can cause the ears to seem to be "stopped up" and cause the pulsations in the neck. Blood flow increases to the skin to help eliminate heat that the body is generating (flushed face). I suspect you may be hyperventilating to some degree and that causes numbness and tingling around the face, arms and legs. ...Read more
