Possible eczema: You may have a form of eczema and could try hydrocortisone cream 1% cream, if it is the canals and you are a swimmer or water lover it may be swimmer's ear which would require antibiotic/antifungal drops. ...Read more

See DR: Seborrheic dermatitis is very common. Frequently ear drops containing aminoglycosides are used. These are common sensitizers. The allergic contact dermatitis due to neomycin or colymycin or bacitracin results in itch + weeping + sweling. Itch may be so severe as to cause brisk rubbing. If: If you have insurance you should see a docotr for a procedure called an ear lavage. Ear drops are placed in the ear, then the ear is irrigated with another solution (typically hydrogen peroxide) to dislodge the wax. A doctor can then use a special instrument to remove any remaining wax. If you do not have insurance tell your mom to find a free or low cost clinic in your area.

They suggest putting in a bit of olive or baby oil (making sure it is pure/clean), let it sit in there for a few minutes, and then lie down on a towel to let it drip out. Cough: Try delete for the cough. Try Flonase for the nasal congestion. May use afrjn for 3 days only for the stuffiness. Try to pop the ears.
May want to try to gargle warm salt water. 2 to 3 tsp to one quart of water.
Finish the antibiotics.

Second, you usually have very significant cough, body aches and fever with influenza - and you didn't describe any of these.
