Allergy?: Have you been in contact with anything new or to a greater than usual lately? For instance, handling more paperwork, using new chemicals or cleaning supplies or cosmetics? These things can dry out your fingertips and cause a contact dermatitis-type reaction. Perhaps it's just dry weather.
