This: This should be fine, but with a few caveats. First. L-arginine is an unproven dietary supplement. It may be helpful, but there is no convincing evidence. And just because it is a natural supplement does not mean it is necessarily safe. If you haven't already, a more effective and natural way to help your blood pressure would be to cut out sodium and increase your intake of fresh foods. Your combination of drugs indicates to me that you have a substantial blood pressure problem. You should discuss these supplements with your physician and your pharmacist to be sure there are no interactions, and always let healthcare professionals know what supplements and over-the-counter medicines you are taking in addition to your prescriptions. Although uncommon, in some cases these ordinary supplements and otc meds can cause negative drug interactions with your important prescriptions. ...Read more

A fool and his money: Are soon parted-an old parable but as true today as the day it was written. Many search for fixes to issues that are long term and have no treatment. You will be as tall as your genes allow, and not more. No special diet, exercise, shots, etc will change that. Most males stop growing at 17. An x-ray of your wrist/hand can tell if you have open growth centers and could grow more. If closed, you are done ...Read more
Uncertain benefit: I found this from the Cleveland clinic: "Arginine is made by the body, supplementation is sometimes required. Arginine is a precursor of nitric oxide, which causes vasodilation (blood vessel relaxation). Laboratory evidence suggests that arginine may be useful in the treatment of medical conditions that are improved by vasodilation, including glaucoma." You should also discuss this with your MD. ...Read more

NO: If you have acute or chronic herpes it's long been thought that l-arginine will aggravate it, but it can not make herpes grow if you don't have herpes already. However, the evidence that arginine actually aggravates herpes is surprisingly slight, so it is probably safe to take even if you have herpes! See http://www. Metametrixinstitute. Hi, I'm 17 right now and I want to take some pre workout and it contain 1000 mg of L-arginine, is it safe to take?
It's probably safe: L-arginine is a naturally occurring Amino Acid (one of the building blocks of protein) and is found in lots of food. Taking moderate amounts is probably ok. But there doesn't seem to be any proven benefit to take extra l-arginine. Since anything beyond a healthy and balanced diet has the potent for harm, supplements and medicine should only be taken if recommended by your trusted health provide. ...Read more
