Can I use drospirenone with the yuzpe method. I eat 5 yasmillene pills and 11 hours after 6 more. Have 0.020 mcg-ethinylestradiol and 3 mg-drospirenone?
If it were a birth control pill with norethisterone or levonorgestrel in it, I would agree that that pill could be used as an emergency contraceptive.
Drospirone has been involved in cases of blood clotting - for that reason I would not feel comfortable with a high dose of drospirenone. If you are on a birth control pill and have taken it as prescribed, there is no need for emergency contraception ...Read more

Missed last Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) active pill on Sun. Took a 4day pill free break. Had sex on 3rd break day; took active pill on Thur. Do I need Emergency contraception?
That depends: If a pill break is scheduled to allow for menstruation (just like the inactive pills are meant to do), then you remain protected during that break and do not need to use emergency contraception. If the break was taken mid-cycle (< 3 weeks since your last inactive pill cycle or "pill break") then protection would be diminished, and emergency contraception would reduce the chance of pregnancy. ...Read more

Yes: You can take 4 pills all at once. Then 4 more pills all at once 12 hours later. This dose will cause nausea so take a sea-sickness pill (like dramamine) 1 hour before taking each dose. You may want to think about using a different form of pregnancy prevention that requires less effort to remember it each day. The iuds or Nexplanon may be better choices. ...Read more

Borderline: You're really kind of on the borderline of whether you should see your doc or not. It's very normal to experience irregular and variable cycles for up to several months after stopping a hormonal contraceptive. They may tell you this is normal. ...Read more

Does the AmociClav 500 affect the reliability of the yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) pill?
Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) should be same: The current thinking is that except for rifampin, other commonly-used antibiotics do not alter the effectiveness of birth control pills such as Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol). This is likely presuming a person is not sick with vomiting or diarrhea, or some other condition that decreases the absorption of a swallowed pill. One can look up: http://www. Ncbi. Nlm. Nih.
