The alcohol is absorbed in the intestines -the intestinal cells absorb it, the toxicity causes these cells to lose their ability to absorb water. Started drinking water to be healthier but I find just drinking water gives me a headache why is this?
"Brain Freeze"?: Brain freeze from ingesting ice cold water & foods is common & multifactorial, as are headaches. Such pain can originate from the skin, fat, muscle, blood vessels or within the cranium from great venous sinuses, their tributaries, the dura & its arteries, the falx cerebri, & large arteries at base of the brain (all of which have pain fibers). Water is healthy: Drinking water and plenty of it throughout the day (as long as it is not contaminated) is good for the kidneys. They don't need a rest--especially at 25. Most don't drink enough. Postpone Water: Giving water "frequently" to a 5.5 month old infant is neither necessary nor recommended. Breast milk and formula provide all that is necessary for your infant in the first 6 months. Giving too much water (which is easy to do) can cause serious electrolyte disturbances, less nutritional intake, and more. Hydrate!: Depriving her of hydration would be the worst thing for her health, and a dangerous idea. Not drinking + fever + diarrhea are all ways she is at risk of dehydration. You should get her seen by her doctor or an urgent care or emergency department. She may need IV fluid and other medicine to get her through. Hydration: Like my father says to much of anything isn't good for you. An average person should drink 3l of water daily to keep homeostasis or balance in the body. Water is lost through the skin, breathing, urinating, and having bowel movements not to mention losses due to increasing stress such as infection or increased metabolism. In US pretty safe: Each city in the us usually has a water safety report, usually sent in the mail, at least annually. Check you city internet page.. There is a minimal standard of safety. Indigestion: If you have always been this way then it's not too uncommon. Some Patients report experiencing nausea after drinking water. We usually recommend that they combined with some additives to give it some flavor. However if this is new it could be due to irritation of the stomach or pancreas. Water?: Assuming it is clean water. ..Water is good in moderation. Don't want to dilute your sodium by drinking too much. We need water. We get it from beer, milkshakes and cheeseburgers.
