It's generally not a good idea to do long term for various reasons. Baking soda has impurities, and though these are for the most part regulated, they would be harmful when consumed regularly.

Why did you drink baking soda? A small amount is not going to have any effect. Even a large amount will get taken care of by the kidneys, without any damage to the kidney. It will not give acid, in fact baking soda is alkaline.
