Electrolytes/fluids: After a serious bout of the 'stomach flu' you could be deficient in certain salts/minerals and fluids. Lightheadedness would be a symptom of just such a derangement. I would be extremely careful getting up/changing position, since the last thing you want to do is 'pass out' briefly and hit the floor (or the corner of a table!) That's fine: Hi. A viral gastroenteritis ("stomach flu") will resolve with tincture of time. You do need to stay well hydrated. Gatorade gives you fluid, electrolytes, and a little sugar (helps prevent catabolism). Jello provides sugar and protein. Grape juice provides fluid and sugar. I've never heard the pretzel thing, but if you're tolerating them, they're OK I guess. Just make sure you stay well hydrated. ...Read more
