3 blood tests ok. Always thirsty/drinking water yet urine suggests i'm still dehydrated. Never used to drink much. Barely sweat and no excessive urine?
Hydration status.: In general, if you are well hydrated, your urine will become more dilute as your body eliminates surplus water, appearing less yellow. If you ingest foods or vitamins that color the urine, urine appearance is no longer a good gauge of hydration status. The importance of 'staying hydrated' is likely somewhat overstated, so be careful when consuming large volumes of free water. ...Read more
Is it okay to drink water if my urine is clear? My mouth feels a little dry, but i don't want my sodium levels to drop.
Okay to drink: It's unlikely under normal circumstances to drop your sodium levels. We see this in folks who are sweating a lot, vomiting, or having diarrhea because they lose sodium this way. We also see this in folks who have diabetes insipidous, in which case they will pee a lot. If you are worried, you could always get a urine test at your doctor's office. Be well. ...Read more

The past 2 months I have eaten a lot less. Decreased frequency in urination despite drinking 3L of water daily. Urine never light/clear. Normal?
Water goes somewhere: 3L a day is a bit much. But if it is that much for weeks/months, then obviously the fluid is not accumulating, and nothing bad is happening . It is a relatively large amount of intake compared to average, but there is no fluid retention occurring, so doesn't seem like there are consequences from it.cannot say in your particular case. ...Read more
