Drink More Water For High Creatinine Levels
Only water retaintio:
Poor renal function may cause sodium and water retention, but in general is better to drink a lot of water and cut on sodium. It will prevent kidney stones
if you know the cause of renal problem, more suggestions on diet (low purine or uric acid for instance) can be made. ...Read more

I took a drug screen and it came back diluted. I did not tamper with the test by drinking a lot of water and wondered if my creatinine levels are low and if so what can I do to increase the levels in my urine.?
See your pcp: Verifying that a urine sample is "human urine" includes checking the temperature, ph, specific gravity and concentration of creatinine. Disease states can cause an exceptionally low creatinine level so having your pcp do further tests is of value. The creatinine concentration tested for is rather wide and permits a quite low level as normal. So if you are lower it is worth looking into. ...Read more
Doc said my Creatinine is slightly high vitD lvl 23 starting on vitamin d Could Creatinine lvl be cause by vitD? Drink lots of water no caffeine
Will my creatinine level raise from taking anabolic steroids? And will drinking lots of water bring it down for my drug screen that uses urine dilute
Both unlikely. . .: It's unlikely that anabolic steroids will affect your creatinine level, a measure of kidney function. Drinking water may decrease blood urea nitrogen (BUN) but not creatinine. Different drug screens test for different things. Most employers check for opioid abuse, not anabolic use, unlike sporting oversight groups. Unfortunately, there's no way to get stuff out of your system any faster or hide it ...Read more

Hypochondria abt getting CKD as I am always dehydrated&have dry mouth n tongue. RFT (sr creatinine, NA, K), urine analysis normal. I drink 2 lt water
I commend you for your insight being Hypochondriac about getting CKD
(Chronic Kidney Disease) even though RFT (Creatinine, NA, K), and urine analysis are Normal.

22y/o malemyserum creatinine is 1.09.I'm execising and on a diet for 1wk and not drinkng a lot of water before my test. Serum crea is. 09 3yrs ago.
Is it normal to have high albumin levels even if you drink a gallon of water a day and are on a vegetarian diet?
Unlikely: A serum albumin test measures the amount of protein in the clear liquid portion of your blood. Albumin is a protein made by the liver; the test is often used to evaluate liver function, nutritional status and other conditions. Under (not over) hydration would more likely affect albumin; vegetarian diets can/should be completely adequate and not usually associated with low albumin. Hope this helps ...Read more
I have a high level of specific gravity in my urine...I keep drinking water but I can't get it down! Why is this?
Healthy 35 yr old female w B/C ratio elevated at 23 with normal Bun and creatinine level of 16 (ref range 7-18) and 0.7. I did not drink much that day?
Tests, tests, tests: Tests results always have to be interpreted in a context. When they measure the temperature of the winner of the Boston Marathon 2 yrs ago it was over106 F. Was he very ill? NO! He had been using his bodies muscles at full output for over 2 hrs straight. The heat generated raised his body temp a lot and he soon cooled off. Can drinking carbonated water cause elevated CO2 in the blood? Elevated (31 to 33) levels for several months.
Not from soda:
Drinking carbonated beverages does not raise CO2 in blood.
Elevated levels of CO2 indicate other metabolic problems. It may also be that a particular individual has a different "set point" but this would be a diagnosis that should come only after careful medical consultation. ...Read more
I had lab work done. My blood sugar level can back high. Was fasting blood work & didn't drink any water, would that cause the sugar level to be high?
Type 1 blood sugar, how high does it goes, before I can't get my remicade (infliximab) injection? Patient has been drinking a lot of water, eat small beef stick to bring it down, her suger level.
If: If you have type 1 diabetes, why not take a dose of fast acting insulin? Humalog, apidra, (insulin glulisine) and NovoLog work within 15 minutes to start lowering the sugar. I do not know of any clear glucose level at which you could not get remicade. Makes little sense why there would be since glucose can vary with Insulin and over hours. Your rheumatologist may not be comfortable dosing your Remicade though if your sugar is high. Contrary to popular belief, drinking water will not lower your sugar. And beef sticks sure don't. ...Read more
I had 39 grams of fiber today because I'm on a high calorie level meal plan. As long as I drink a lot of water I should be ok; is that correct? I keep thinking that i'll be constipated.
I bloat & get stomach pains no matter what I eat or drink, even tea & water. My lipase levels were high, 352. What could cause this? Is it all related
Two separate issues: The bloating and gas may very well be unrelated to your elevated lipase (two separate issues). Bloating and gas may be due to celiac disease or ibs related. An elevated lipase level may be pancreatic in origin (pancreatitis) but may also have other non-pancreatic sources. Evaluation by a gastroenterologist would be appropriate. ...Read more
Side effects of high nitrate in drinking water my mother got a water report from the owner of the trailer court that she lives in and it said the nitrate level were to high. It is a private well. The level is 10.2mg/l.
Hello.: Hello. In many areas the water standard for nitrate is 10 milligrams per liter (10 mg/l). The U.S. Environmental protection agency uses 10 mg/l as a standard for public supplies under the safe drinking water act. High nitrate levels in drinking water can cause methemologlobinemia in infants (blue baby syndrome). ...Read more

What does high urine pH 7.5-8.5 that fluctuates a lot mean? Is it bc I drink a lot of water or systemic alkadosis?
Alkalotic urine: Why are you so preoccupied with the ph of your urine? It seems that you are having repeated urine analyses to assess your urine's ph. Water intake does not, per se, make your urine alkalotic. Causes of an alkalotic urine are: urinary tract obstruction, pyloric obstruction, salicylate intoxication, renal tubular acidosis, chronic renal failure and respiratory failure. Do you have one of these? ...Read more
Thoughts on drinking alkaline water? What is the pH of a healthy body? Is 8.5 or 9.5 too high? Hubby thinks it could help my medical condition. Thanks
No: The pH of body fluid is 7.4, the body will do its darndest to keep the pH at this level. You will not feel well if the pH is even a little different from 7.4. Neither alkaline water or acid water will benefit you unless you enjoy the taste. ...Read more

Is it true that drinking high amounts of water should help in cellulite reduction...If yes what is the amount of water needed/day?
No consistent way: I am not aware of water intake as a treatment for cellulite. Cellulite and stretch marks are two of the most difficult and vexing cosmetic surgery conditions to treat. Endermologie has been used to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. Cellulaze may also be if some benefit but can be quite costly and take a year to see improvements of only 30%. ...Read more
I intend on trying the water fast (drinking only water) for high metabolism. Will I be able to keep the 9-10 pounds off by doing this?
Nope.: The weight you lose is going to be temporary. Whatever diet you choose - paleo, adkins, water, beach, grapefruit, mediterranean, etc. - the weight will not stay off. Stick with the usual life-long concepts of portion control, regular exercise, and decreasing salt & sugar intake. Any diet program you choose needs to be one that can last you a lifetime. ...Read more
