Can I take Benadryl and Dramamine together, I have seasonal allergies but I am also suffering with a slight inner ear issue that's making me nauseous?

I have true allergy to Benadryl (hives.) is dramamine ok? It has either meclizine or dimenhydrinate, depending on which type i get. Both these ok?
I'm about to have an EEG & MRI tomorrow. will they go wrong if i took valerian, 1 benadryl, 1 dramamine, & melatonin last night? (but not tonight)
Check with EEG: The MRI machine won't care so much. Depends on what they're looking for on EEG but usually they are supposed to instruct you as to how and prepare with respect to medications you can and cannot take. Will Benadryl work for motion sickness? I am going on a long road trip and i get terrible carsickness. Will it work the same as dramamine?
I understand that one cannot become addicted to antihistamines, however, can't people become addicted to the sedating effects of drugs?

Benadryl.....: is probably the most readily available sedating antihistamine. It is a common ingredient in over-the-counter (OTC) preparations for sleep, such as Tylenol PM -- the PM part is diphenhydramine, the generic name for Benadryl. Another one I like to use is hydroxyzine (also known as Vistaril or Atarax) but that is only available as a prescription, however its metabolite is Zyrtec, which is OTC. ...Read more
