Homemade diet supplement which consists of a zippfizz, 1/2 tsp ground chia seeds, 1/2 tsp ground flax seeds. Been drinking 1x day. Be ok to do 3x day?
I wouldn't because:: You can have all the flax ; chia you want but i'd be cautious re: zipfizz- it's high in caffeine ; has some hazardous ingredients such as sucralose (http://bit.Ly/1eavvqa), synthetic vit e ; high doses of Cyanocobalamin which has cyanide! (http://bit.Ly/mm1ce9)-i wouldn't take 7500 mcg(in 3 doses zipfizz). Instead try a good b complex with methylcobalamin ; a green drink like orac energy greens. ...Read more
Are there viruses/parasites which can kill or eat other virus and parasites, when injected into infected person, like king cobras&king snake eat snakes?
I wish there were: Nothing will parasitize a virus -- it's just a bit of genome that's acquired an unfortunate life of its own. Someday lytic phages may be designed to attack bacteria and protozoa -- i've wondered about them for TB and malaria -- but none yet. This is a very good question. ...Read more
Afraid of rabies, previously vaccinated. Walking outside on bright, sunny day (no rain). Single drop of liquid fell from tree and lands directly in eye/tear-duct. Couldn't identify source of liquid. Possible bat saliva exposure or being paranoid?
Paranoid: The most likely liquid falling from a tree would be water. Did it rain recently? The odds of a bat salivating in a tree on a sunny day is very very rare. Bats like dark places to rest during the day. Also, bats drooling? Also very rare. The saliva from a bat causing rabies comes from a bite, not drool. Also very rare to get rabies through the membranes of the eyes. So, please don't worry. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Are common garden birds' poo (pigeons, raven's etc) dangerous to human health if left undealt with on garden furniture?
Guano (bird poop): Bird poop (or guano) is usually a nuisance more than a health risk, there can be a risk of disease transmission, especially for those with weakened immune systems. Clean up with soap and hot water whenever you have contact with bird droppings. The guano does not present more problems if left for more time on the furniture. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can keeping parrots cause farmer's lung? Not bird fancier's lung, but farmer's lung? I'm not a farmer, own parrots, tested positive for farmers lung!
Min. Exposure: Farmers lung refers to an immune reaction in which inhaled allergens such as spores form complexes and cause inflammation in the lung. This type of reaction may also occur with other proteins such as that associated with parrots. Since you already are being diagnosed and treated for lung inflammation, it is best to try to avoid high exposure to the parrot eg cleaning cages. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

1yr+ shadows on wall behind dryer are actually black mold; intake ambient air = sporesin clothes. Allergy. symptoms 3+mo. Cleaned safely. What are my risks?
Low risk: Black mold is problematic for people with definitive allergies to the mold but, if you're not allergic to the mold just being in the same room with the mold without disturbing the mold should not pose a health risk. There's a lot of hysteria about "black mold" perpetuated by companies that charge exorbitant prices to eradicate it...it's not a big health risk. ...Read more

Are ( Sexually transmitted diseases) transmitted through swimming pools?
What about sharing glass , spoons, eating or drinking leftovers ?
Friend's top part of bedroom window open 1/2 inch all nite. horizontal blinds were down. No screen. Afraid a bat flew in? Rabies? No sign of bats.
? stop freaking out: You would know if bat bit you, even at night. The blinds were in place, so the boat's radar would not perceive that window as open. A bat didn't bother you last night and you don't need rabies shots. I'd be more worried about the mosquitoes that came in and what they are carrying. ...Read more
