Lmp 8/7/15. US 9/23 showed 6w6d fetal pole (9mm), 7w3d GS (21 mm), no HB detected. Dr. said I miscarried. Too soon to assume definite fetal demise?
Miscarriage: Unfortunately, there are several different criteria for diagnosing a miscarriage, and one of them is a fetal pole measuring more than 7 mm without a heartbeat. It appears that this pregnancy meets that criteria. Usually this is a pregnancy that was chromosomally abnormal, and this is nature's way of taking care of the problem. But you can always choose to wait longer and do another ultrasound. ...Read more
I hv my thyriod reports normal but dr said u carry on wth ur thyroxinesodium 25mg..Is my dr right? Thyriod is longlife disease..?
Continue the medicat: If your thyroid level was abnormal before the medication, and is normal on the medication, you should continue it. The medication does't cure anything, it only treats it as long as you're taking it. ...Read more

ECGs during nuke stress test said possible inferior infarct(age unknown).echo b4 test was good. ecgs b4&after good too. docs said im fine.do u agree?
False positive test: False positive nuclear stress test is common in the inferior region due to attenuation artifact brought by the diaphragm. This can be reduced by certain protocols but not totally eliminated.in the absence of any collaborative finding such as wall motion abnormality, it is of doubtful significance ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I am 4wks 2dys pregnant.I had an ultrasound & it says my gsd is 17mm with no fetal echo seen yet.Is this normal?
Probably not: 4 weeks 2 days pregnant essentially means that you just missed a period 2 days ago so generally on ultrasound you won't see anything. If there is truly a 17 mm sac with nothing in it at all by a vaginal scan, it is unfortunately not a good sign for a viable pregnancy. The whole story doesn't make sense, so i'd recommend that they continue to follow your lab work and ultrasound to see what happens. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Have hyperthyroidism.See dr (endo). In late february. Dr. Put me on tapezole 5mg early dec..Blood test by rheumy 1/14 still hyper. Is dr. Right?
7.5 wk preg. Gest sac w 2 round yolk sacs but only 1 other mass w 1 hrtbt. Dr says maybe twins! confirm in 2 wks. Is this possible/do u agree? Explain
Possible!: 2 yolk sacs is definitely suspicious for twins. There should only be one per baby. Sometimes you can start with twins, but one of them doesn't make it, so that's something to watch out for. The biggest concern would be that if both babies are in the same gestational sac, then you have a high risk twin pregnancy. (monoamniotic). So that's a condition you'd want to know about early on. ...Read more

Good evening doctors, pls docs, cld u pls differentiate Fibroadenosis and Fibroadenoma, also Fibrocystic change. Thank u doctors.
All benign: These names refer to disordered growth of breast tissue that is frequent but benign. The breast is made of stromal and glandular tissue components; stromal includes fat and fibrous/scar-like material while glandular is the tissue that produces secretion. Both can be increased diffusely (fibroadenosis; fibrocystic change) or locally (fibroadenoma). ...Read more

6wks1day us showed 2mm fetal pole no yolk sac no heartbeat.no bleeding Hcg number went from2,165-3,054 6days.Nurse said 99.9% I miscarry.thoughts?
My thoughts: As of a serum HCG of 2000 a pregnancy in the uterus should be detected. If there is an embryo of a measurable size, the heartbeat should be seen. If the serum HCG concentration is considerably less than double the amount it was two days prior, the pregnancy in all likelihood is not viable and likely to end in a miscarriage. ...Read more

Keep seeing OB MD: It sounds like all you fetal testing is normal and "worrying" never helps to "ease your mind". Your OB MD is doing all that can and should be done at this point so continue his/her care as directed. ...Read more
