Im in s. J area appt w dr black - pyschiatry monday w/ insurance 145$ need a willing dr 2 help ween off 30mg valium?
Psychiatry appt.: I'm not sure what you're requesting here, since you already have an appointment with a psychiatrist with whom you can discuss tapering valium. The doctor will want to know where you are with your anxiety, and maybe develop other treatment options as needed. Less habit-forming medicines are available, and hopefully the "behavior therapy" you're working in is helping. ...Read more

Will a dry socket heal with only one packing? I went to ER (my dr out of town) ER dr said hole is closed there's nothing for him to pack...Help!
Dry socket: Actually, a dry socket will heal even without any packing. It will just be painful and take much, much longer to heal. Although a physician in an emergency room is not quite the same as a dentist for a dental evaluation, if you are substantially out of pain, there is no need to repack the socket. You should still see your dentist for a follow up evaluation just to make sure all is ok. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
See your doctor: See your doctor or dermatologist if you are having worsening acne - prescriptions need to be given by someone who is licensed to practice in your country. You can start with over the counter benzyl peroxide ointments; however, since you are asking for a prescription I suspect you have tried the OTC creams. ...Read more

Go easy: If by "undercarriage" you're referring to your delicate parts, the answer is no, especially for the vagina and anal areas. Harsh soaps can cause drying, cracking and itching, and should be avoided. In fact, it's best to minimize the use of soap at all: just a little water is enough. If you do use dr. Bronners, make sure and follow his instructions: "dilute! dilute! dilute!". ...Read more

New Information!: Metformin was "contraindicated" in ? w a Cr>1.4 & ? >1.5, do to the risk of a VERY rare potentially fatal cond=lactic acidosis, if metformin (removed by the kidneys) builds up. Very long experience & studies confirm a VERY low risk & docs have been using it at higher Cr's. We also now rpt kid func as GFR, a better measure.
