Gallstones: gallstones rarely cause problems. They are usually asymptomatic. However sometimes they can cause infection and inflammation of the gallbladder. Your white cell count is normal and probably the vomiting is related to inflammation of your stomach or other causes. Symptoms of an infected gallbladder include right sided abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting. ...Read more

Medical negligence: That depends upon the manner in which you presented to the doctor, what tests were done and what the doctor's specialty is. If you think there was negligence you must contact an attorney who will then show your medical records to an expert who will provide an opinion which may or may not be fully correct. ...Read more

Im in s. J area appt w dr black - pyschiatry monday w/ insurance 145$ need a willing dr 2 help ween off 30mg valium?
Psychiatry appt.: I'm not sure what you're requesting here, since you already have an appointment with a psychiatrist with whom you can discuss tapering valium. The doctor will want to know where you are with your anxiety, and maybe develop other treatment options as needed. Less habit-forming medicines are available, and hopefully the "behavior therapy" you're working in is helping. ...Read more

4 y old had vasovagal attack pediatric ask for CBC ECG EEG urine k na ca li every thing was normal except li <0.3 & ionized ca 4.2 he ask psych.Advi?
Syncope?: When you say "vasovagal attack" i assume that you mean syncope (fainting). Vasovagal syncope is not typical in four years olds, and more typically presents after the onset of puberty. There are many causes of syncope potentially, some serious like heart disease or seizures, and some not so serious like breath-holding spells. The most important step is to rule out serious causes of syncope. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Lumbar disc fusion yr. Ago, dr. Said looked good, slight halo near pedicle, dr. Not worried, should I be?
Im confused l askd a question about my dr sayn my gallbladder workn at 29% 1 dr says remove it another sayn think twice. L need help lm.Lost?
Only 70% cured: The problem relying on gallbladder contraction (ejection fraction) as an indication for gallbladder removal is that there is no consensus or correlation between the ef% and response to cholecystectomy. Cholecystectomy is associated with cure in about 70%, but there is a similar rate of improvement is also seen in patients that are treated medically. 30% have persistent symptoms after surgery. ...Read more

Is my dr missing something last 5 cbc in 12 months order. WBC 5.9 ,5.7,,5.1,5.8,4..9 neutr 3.7,3.7,3.7,4.1,3.6 lymphs 1.5,1.2,1.01.0,last 0.8 low.
Those are the same: Those test results are so similar that in real life, they are the same. Since normal people don't do 5 CBC tests in one year, there is something else missing from this picture. If there is nothing else going on, then one should ask, "Why am I going to the lab more than once or twice a year?" And, "What am I looking for when, and if, I do another blood test?" ...Read more
5 month old baby boy.1ped.urologist diagnosed bilat. nonpalp testis.ordered kareotype test.2nd ped. urologist say one side palp so as my pediatrician.
Here are some ...: Clinically, palpating the testes can be tricky and requires patience and be done in right warm environ. In fact, parents may be instructed to palpate the "retractile" testes, while the baby is in warm cozy bath; retractile testes tend to "drop" into the sac under such environments. So, I would not hastily proceed with extensive evaluation, and try what I just described because of no hurry... ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Referral: Talk with your son's primary care doc/pediatrician about a referral either to specialists in the community or hospital tied to a medical school (e.G, northwestern is there and many in chicago). Whomever wants the re-evaluation would best have a question to be answered by the evaluation (e.g., differential diagnosis or appropriate learning environment based on identified needs). Bowing leg: If the x-rays were normal than by definition there is nothing to "cure"…she's normal. Many children start out with bowed legs but as they walk more and grow, that becomes less significant/obvious. If you are still worried discuss with your child's doctor for further information and referral if deemed necessary. ...Read more
