Yes: The flu vaccine is especially important for asthmatics, since they may become more ill when they have the flu. Flu viruses invade the lining of the lung and airways leading to mucus production and constriction. If your child has moderate to severe egg allergies your physician may not administer the flu shot to him. An allergy referral in that case may be needed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Cough: In addition to infectious cause, the 3 most common causes of a chronic cough include asthma, rhinitis, and gastroesophageal reflux. Google: For this type of information, you can google a physician's name. You will find various sites where patients write such "reviews." not every physician will have reviews written, and those written may be of variable reliability. If a physician is involved on healthtap, you can read his/her various pages for more info. Sometimes patients write notes that are viewable. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

If i went to er solely for panic attack & dr saw injection marks, then asked who prescribes my pain meds, can he/she alert my pain doctor? hippa law?
I think so since: he may think you are a danger to yourself or others and is still in good faith , your pain dr. would do drug screens as routine and panic attack alone should not be a reason to discharge you , you are up front with your pain dr. anyway , nothing to hide for your health , if you have track marks because you are abusing the pain meds by injecting them then you need to stop now and get help for your ...Read more
Saw new md(insurance change). Gave her med records w/former md's dx&tx.New md was rude & condescending to me d/t former md's dx! what's your take on this?
Not sure, but...: Not sure about all that, but a patient should always make a copy of her medical records if she has them. Then, she can give just the copy to her new doctor. If she and the new doctor are not a good match, she can try another doctor and give the second doctor a copy of her records (while always keeping the originals). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Im in s. J area appt w dr black - pyschiatry monday w/ insurance 145$ need a willing dr 2 help ween off 30mg valium?
Psychiatry appt.: I'm not sure what you're requesting here, since you already have an appointment with a psychiatrist with whom you can discuss tapering valium. The doctor will want to know where you are with your anxiety, and maybe develop other treatment options as needed. Less habit-forming medicines are available, and hopefully the "behavior therapy" you're working in is helping. ...Read more

Allergic reaction : Hi. I am not sure by your message what the order of things was- but it sounds like you might have had a reaction to allergy testing. It is very rare to have an allergic reaction that requires prednisone after testing alone. Allergy shots help with allergies of the nose, eyes and with allergic asthma. I would follow up with your allergist regarding the reaction that you had. ...Read more

Dr found gallstones/sludge in GB, been vomiting, dr doesn't think related, gave me Prilosec but WBC is 10,000 from 6,000 3 mo.s ago, infection?
Gallstones: gallstones rarely cause problems. They are usually asymptomatic. However sometimes they can cause infection and inflammation of the gallbladder. Your white cell count is normal and probably the vomiting is related to inflammation of your stomach or other causes. Symptoms of an infected gallbladder include right sided abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting. ...Read more

Reply for doctor dr. Sewa legha answer.Sir i'm taking letrozole because my sperm count is very low.So doctor has prescribed me letrolzole.
I doubti f it helps: This is of questionable benefit. So you have to choose between its side effects and its questionable benefit. It is better to first find out if the sperm count is really low(so recheck it from a different lab) and then try to find out why it is low?. Then you can find a better solution. Good luck. ...Read more
