Am confused now.A dr said take metformin when my friends cretanine is 1.5 another dr said repeat KFT.In the meantime my friends sugar is high.Help pls?
New Information!: Metformin was "contraindicated" in ? w a Cr>1.4 & ? >1.5, do to the risk of a VERY rare potentially fatal cond=lactic acidosis, if metformin (removed by the kidneys) builds up. Very long experience & studies confirm a VERY low risk & docs have been using it at higher Cr's. We also now rpt kid func as GFR, a better measure. Wks ago the FDA changed the guidelines to GFR, not Cr to dose Metformin. ...Read more
See your doctor: See your doctor or dermatologist if you are having worsening acne - prescriptions need to be given by someone who is licensed to practice in your country. You can start with over the counter benzyl peroxide ointments; however, since you are asking for a prescription I suspect you have tried the OTC creams. ...Read more
Hi , i had done my IUI in 6th, 7th december 8th december my dr give me Primolut 5 mg tab for 10 days...I want to know why my dr give me Primolut tab?
Be careful: Presumably your doctor gave you this medication since he/she wanted to put you on Progesterone after the iui. This is fine when started appropriately. The primolut is an artificial Progesterone and should never be taken during pregnancy. Only natural Progesterone or synthetic versions of natural Progesterone should be used. Primolut is fine to bring on the period though. ...Read more
Im in s. J area appt w dr black - pyschiatry monday w/ insurance 145$ need a willing dr 2 help ween off 30mg valium?
Psychiatry appt.: I'm not sure what you're requesting here, since you already have an appointment with a psychiatrist with whom you can discuss tapering valium. The doctor will want to know where you are with your anxiety, and maybe develop other treatment options as needed. Less habit-forming medicines are available, and hopefully the "behavior therapy" you're working in is helping. ...Read more
Dr. Tom heston faafp, fasnc, facnm is it ok to take wellbutrin, pristiq, and savella (milnacipran) together?
I am not Dr Heston, : And in my opinion, that combination is very good as long as those medications work together to relieve the symptoms of depression, anxiety and chronic pain. When the illness is severe enough, combining several agents is more effective, causes less side effects, although it can be more costly and cumbersome to maintain the treatment. Hope this answer to your question while awaiting for dr heston's. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

See a qualified: Plastic surgeon and inquire about breast implants. Fat grafting to the breasts is often marketed as "natural" breast augmentation, but not all of the transferred fat survives, and can cause scar tissue and calcifications that interfere with the mammographic diagnosis of breast cancer. Not worth it. Wait a few years when a few of women with fat transfer have cancer but miss or delay the diagnosis! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Im confused l askd a question about my dr sayn my gallbladder workn at 29% 1 dr says remove it another sayn think twice. L need help lm.Lost?
Only 70% cured: The problem relying on gallbladder contraction (ejection fraction) as an indication for gallbladder removal is that there is no consensus or correlation between the ef% and response to cholecystectomy. Cholecystectomy is associated with cure in about 70%, but there is a similar rate of improvement is also seen in patients that are treated medically. 30% have persistent symptoms after surgery. ...Read more
