Valium, especially in small doses can be taken in combination with many medications. Valerian root is an herbal remedy that can help with anxiety but it's effectiveness for this is variable depending on the formulation.
The key thing is that you need to read the label on the bottle because some of these remedies will have other ingredients that may interact. ...Read more

Short answer is yes.: The long answer is that most surgeons want to make their patients happy with the results of any surgical intervention. Sometimes less than optimal results can happen that are out of the surgeon's control like infection, hypertrophic scarring, capsular contracture with breast augmentations, etc... I have found that most surgeons truly want to achieve the best results possible and are willing to. ...Read more

Sound OK: Following surgery, a small amount of bleeding is normal and it will produce a bruise as well as a scab. The yellowish color I'm not sure of... But, it might be what is left of the skin prep used. If you have increased pain, fevers, redness or drainage- see your doc. Otherwise seems within normal. ...Read more
Is it bad when the veins in your legs pop living bad brucing and pain im 29 years old I have suffered of high blood presure for 4 years now, lateley I have been getting this uncontrolable headaches can this be related?
Very high blood pressure can definitely cause headaches. That's not the only cause, of course, but if your headaches are in fact caused by your high blood pressure, then it means you may be at risk of complications like bleeding.
It's unusual for a 29 year-old to have high blood pressure, so when it happens you have to think of unusual causes. In some cases, high blood pressure in a young patient is due to a condition called fibromuscular dysplasia, which is a benign abnormality in the arteries that supply the kidneys. It is relatively easy to fix with a balloon, so it is worth checking for. This can be done with ultrasound or ct angiography.
Whether or not your headaches are caused by your hypertension, and whether or not you have fibromuscular dysplasia, it's important to get it under control. Untreated high blood pressure can cause a host of long-term complications. ...Read more

Mean BP: I'm guessing you are not interested in the concept of mean arterial pressure which incorporates aspects of systolic & diastolic pressure. Mean or average BP is the same thing. When trying to assess effectiveness of BP control I tell my patients to keep a log of BP & hr so we can average or take a mean of those values & make treatment decisions at their next office visit. Sure: I hope your intentions are good asking for a hug. I love to hug my patients and usually I am the one who initiates it and so far have not had a problem with any of patients. I don't just hug them out of the blue but I spent quality time with them to make them ready for that. You should probably do that with your doc as well, rather than asking him to hug you w/out any warning. ...Read more
Casual gift yes.: It's ok to send Christmas Cards. Would not really do much more than that. The occasional cookie tin for the entire practice is ok. Don't single the doctor out with a gift or there will be questions raised about your relationship. ...Read more
No definitive rules: According to the ama, "gifts that patients offer to physicians are often an expression of appreciation and gratitude or a reflection of cultural tradition, and can enhance the patient-physician relationship." one criterion to consider is whether the doctor would be comfortable if acceptance of the gift were known to colleagues or the public. The dr-pt relationship is always first. ...Read more
