Keratosis pilaris: Small white bumps on the skin, especially of legs and arms can be due to Keratosis pilaris. Sometimes this is due to dry skin, or mild irritation. Use fragrance free skin care products, don't scrub too hard, and moisturize daily and see if that helps. If this is no help get seen by a doc to see exactly what is going on. See http://tinyurl. Dr I want to know why im having repeated misscarraiges at 5 th week? What all will b the reasons?? Last time also 5 th week.

Many causes: There can be hormone issues, antibody issues, infection issues and many others that could lead to frequent miscarriage. Best to see your OB provider for a formal work up to help identify possible reason for repeated miscarriage. I'm sorry for your loss. Hope this was somewhat helpful. Best of luck ...Read more

My bf has a lot of diff health issues he needs addressed. Would healthtap prime b useful if he's uninsured&wants 2 consult w more than 1 kind of dr?

Sometimes helpful: A patient with multiple health issues must have a real-life doctor who can do a full exam. PRIME is useful for primary care issues that may not need an exam. PRIME is also good for temporary help when one's real-life doctor is unavailable. If a patient is traveling out-of-state she might be able to get help from a PRIME doctor in her vacation state, to take care of a problem before returning home. ...Read more

I have been diagnosed with dermatophytosis 2 years ago. I was prescribed with following ointment:Beclomin, Kezin-B, it still spreads. What should I Dr.?

Wrong Rx: Forgive my frankness. Beclomin is beclomethasone in most countries, or so I read online. It's not the right medication for a superficial skin fungus. I can't find Kezin-B. There are a variety of good over-the-counter medications for superficial skin fungi -- ketoconazole and tolnaftate are two choices. Get with a physician who's got some expertise in skin. Best wishes. ...Read more

Innocent comment: The pathologist's diagnosis is the final say in any abnormality that is being biopsied (clinicians may suspect something but won't know for sure until the biopsy is read by a pathologist). Your physician can always call the pathologist and discuss his concern, including a request for a second pathologist's opinion ...Read more

Should I see a dr? My resting heartbeat is 110...B/p is normal.

Fast Heart Rate: Nope. It is mostly due to things like anxiety, caffeine, the amount of fluid in our bodies and how in or out of shape we are. If you have no shortness or breath or pain then you can wait to be seen. ...Read more

I had a misscarriage 2 weeks ago. Is there any medical reason my dr says I should wait 3 months? She says b/c I could misscarry again.

He's right: There are health benefits from spacing out your conceptions--even if they end in miscarriage. Your body takes a while to return to its prepregnancy state.

You're young. A little patience will pay off. ...Read more

Doesn't being ethnic minority place patient at definite risk of misdiagnosis b/c dr's base decisions on experience w/ majority population?

Maybe.: The chemistry and physiology of all humans is pretty close. There are some minor variations in presentation of disease based on sex and race and certainly there are differences in genetic risk factors. But again most of the major variations are covered in training. ...Read more

Hard to comment: You have not listed what you consider fever, or any other features of the event. Most low grade fevers at that age are self healing viral illnesses, but many other agents could be involved. More background will get you more answers. ...Read more

Go to ER today...: You need to be examined and evaluated. Your doctor will be looking for fast heart rate, along with pleuritic chest pain, may have some difficulty breathing. It could be something less urgent but you really should not wait. If you are forming blood clots and they are going to your lungs that is a medical emergency and you should not delay an evaluation. Make arrangements with your local er. ...Read more

My Dr insists that I see him once a month. I've been his patient for a year now. Its financially draining b/c I also take expensive meds. Solutions?

You need monitoring: You do need regular monitoring as you have medical issues that are at odds with one another. For example, your thyroid issues can worsen your psychiatric problems, but you need to have TSH supressed to avoid recurrence of your cancer. Clearly, this is something you should talk to your doc about. Explain the issues with finance and time, ask if you can be seen every 6-8 weeks instead of 4. ...Read more
