Doctor insights on:
Please disregard questions from me to these Doctors : Dr. Steven Seres and Dr. Rick Koch. I have found the answer to my question. Thx, Jerry Neitzel?
May not be able to!: Sorry, but there is no way to determine if either of these docs will read your questions, as we all answer questions for free, as our schedules allow. Also, there is no way to pair your questions back to back or link questions you ask together! Glad you found your answer! If you get answers, they will act as "second opinions!" This never hurts, though, and it's valuable to get >1 opinion. ...Read more
What dr or drs do I see for osler weber rendu syndrome. My ENT dr. Was not very helpful.
Osler Weber Rendu: Owr syndrome is an hereditary problem that causes multiple blood vessel growths called telangectasias. These cause bleeding problems, especially frequent nose bleeds. There is usually a family history of hereditary hemorrhagic telangectasias (hht). Most ENT dr.'s have some experience with this problem but may have exposure to only a few patients. Most academic centers will have hht clinics. ...Read more

Dr. Tom heston faafp, fasnc, facnm is it ok to take wellbutrin, pristiq, and savella (milnacipran) together?
I am not Dr Heston, : And in my opinion, that combination is very good as long as those medications work together to relieve the symptoms of depression, anxiety and chronic pain. When the illness is severe enough, combining several agents is more effective, causes less side effects, although it can be more costly and cumbersome to maintain the treatment. Hope this answer to your question while awaiting for dr heston's. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Glaucoma. 1st opinion Dr. said maybe blind in 5 yrs. & see neuro Dr. 2nd opinion Dr. says glaucoma stable & neurologist not needed. Why difference?
Experience: Glaucoma can be a very challenging disease to treat and sometimes difficult to diagnose. If one of the doctors that you saw was a glaucoma specialist then I would lean towards their words of expertise. However if you have not seen a glaucoma specialist then I would recommend getting a third opinion, if possible, with an experienced specialist to settle which direction you should go. ...Read more

Psychiatry appt.: I'm not sure what you're requesting here, since you already have an appointment with a psychiatrist with whom you can discuss tapering valium. The doctor will want to know where you are with your anxiety, and maybe develop other treatment options as needed. Less habit-forming medicines are available, and hopefully the "behavior therapy" you're working in is helping. ...Read more

Adding coconut oil to diet helps to treat alzeimer's (according to book by dr. Mary newport). Do any healthtap doctors agree with this treatment?
Yes: The flu vaccine is especially important for asthmatics, since they may become more ill when they have the flu. Flu viruses invade the lining of the lung and airways leading to mucus production and constriction. If your child has moderate to severe egg allergies your physician may not administer the flu shot to him. An allergy referral in that case may be needed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Masturbation: One question at a time here on health tap. Masturbation is a common and natural part of the human experience. There are no negative health consequences to masturbation. Why, when gals don' feel 'cuddly', or can't stand being in the room w/ their baby (as on the doctors tv show) are they not prescribed oxytocin? Ali
Good thought: Synthetic oxytocin, pitocin, is only used intravenously to help with labor. The new mom should be making plenty of her own oxytocin. Being a new mom, and not getting enough sleep, can make it difficult to bond with a baby at first. This will come with time. If her feelings are intense, and do not improve, she should be seen by her doctor to see if she has postpartum depression. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
