Had strep. Pneumoniae blood infection, treated. Got imported down feather pillows at same time. Is possible feathers transmitted germ/illness to me?
No association: Strep pneumoniae is a normal bacteria in the environment and carried by healthy people. It isn't caught from pillows, clothing, food, etc. You either were carrying it before you got sick or picked it up from almost anyone you have been around. For sure not from your imported pillows. Hope you've recovered well. Best wishes. ...Read more

Neither are ideal: The gold standard treatment for allergic rhinitis are daily intranasal corticosteroid sprays and not antihistamines or Singulair (montelukast). Cetirizine and Singulair (montelukast) can be used as adjunctive therapy, but are not first line. Cold symptoms from a virus is another story, best treated with symptomatic management including rest, hydration, saline rinses, time, etc. ...Read more
I've had allergy symptoms for a week now and have been taking tylenol (acetaminophen) but the past 2 days I've been having night sweats from the waist down. Why?
Wrong medication: Tylenol (acetaminophen) is good for headache, fever, aches and pains but is ineffective for allergy symptoms. I have no idea why you are sweating only from the waist down. Sweating is not a symptom of allergy. I suggest that you discuss your symptoms with your health care provider. ...Read more
Taking zyrtec (cetirizine) & sudafed for allergy symptoms from eustachian td. Sit/stand symptoms are gone. When I lay down though, my inner ears & body itch. Why?
Allergies?: Technically, the inner ear shouldn't itch, but the middle ear behind the eardrum can itch. Seasonal allergies can frequently present with body and middle ear itching, at least partly due to widespread histamine release in allergic reaction, even once the eustachian tubes clear and equilibrium is back to normal. Good luck! ...Read more
