Double Chin But Not Fat
Does chin liposuction work as well as a face lift to get rid of a double chin? My saggy chin is really my biggest problem. A whole facelift seems like overkill. But i want to be sure that chin liposuction really gives good results.
Depends: You probably mean your neck vs saggy chin! if you are young and the skin can shrink, liposuction may work well. If you if you are in your 40's or older, you may consider a surgical option. But strictly speaking a facelift and a neck liposcution are for two different clinical problems. ...Read moreSee 10 more doctor answers

My face is in round shape ...Chubby cheeks nd double chin. I tried facial exercise nd many other exercises but it won't work .How to reduce fat face?
Evaluation needed: So many factors become part of the aesthetic analysis of the face and neck. One's bmi (body mass index) should be ascertained to see if weight reduction would help. If a person's bmi is not in the obese range then certain things can be done to improve proportions of the face and neck - not the least of which is submental liposuction or even buccal fat pad extraction. Find a good plastic surgeon. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a double chin and I am in the process of loosing weight. As i loose weight will my chin sag or will the double chin improve?
Varies greatly!: Congratulations on your weight loss efforts. We never know how a person's face/chin will change with weight loss. Do know that you will be much healthier with a little chin sag than with the risks of overweight and obesity. Besides, "fine tuning" is available by means of cosmetic surgery if you feel you need it later on! lgromkomd. ...Read more
Will chin liposuction look unnatural if my cheeks are fat as well? I want more definition in my jaw so I have been considering chin liposuction. But wouldn’t this look weird if my cheeks are sort of full as well?
What happens if I gain weight after having Vaser liposuction? I've heard that with traditional liposuction if you gain weight later, you'll get fat deposits in areas where you didn't have lipo. Is it the same with Vaser liposuction?
Don't gain weight: Liposuction with any modality is to help improve discrete areas of problematic fat that do not respond to diet and exercise. Liposuction is not a substitute for diet and exercise. You would have to gain significant weight after any lipo for the weight gain to appear abnormal or unnatural. The point is that you shouldn't have lipo if you can not commit to a sustainable healthy lifestyle. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers
My thighs are big. But they don't look like other people's fat thighs. Mine are fat, then not so fat, then fat again and so on. Uneven fat. Cellulite?
Moisturizer will not absorb into chin? It absorbs well everywhere else but my chin. My chin does not excrete oil as much as before either.
Physiological: We all tend to make a little less oil as we journey into our twenties and beyond. If you are using moisturizer on a naturally oily area like the chin, i would think your skin is already more dry. You can try a spray of mineral water on the skin before the moisturizer. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is a brachioplasty only for excess skin? I have really saggy upper arms, but there's quite a bit of fat there as well as extra skin. Does a brachioplasty correct both?
Brachioplasty : Brachioplasty will correct saggy skin and remove extra fat! brachioplasty uses a combination of fat removal with liposuction and skin removal to improve the shape and appearance of the arm. The best candidates are patients with mostly loose skin and less fat. In general, if the skin hangs down when you hold your arms up and to the side (hands facing forward) then brachioplasty will work to correct the area. The scar is place along the inside of the arm and is not visible when your arms are at your sides. Some scarring may be visible when your arms are up such as during dancing, waving to someone or sports such as tennis or golf. Make certain you believe the getting rid of the skin and fat justifies the presence of the scar. Your doctor should help you decide this. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Is chin liposuction safe? I've read that abdominal liposuction can be dangerous. Do i need to reconsider chin liposuction? Or is it such a small area that it's safer?
Both are quite safe: Both areas are quite safely treated with an experienced doctor. Local anesthesia has made liposuction a much safer procedure in general. With the use of laser or vaser to first liquefy the fat, there is less damage to vessels and nerves and hence less risk and less recovery time also. Chin liposuction is a relatively low risk area of treatment when done with local anesthesia and experienced doc. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Options: Selective non-liposuction options for fat removal are on the rise. Technologies using radio frequency ( thermage), ultrasound (ulthera) laser lipolysis ( smart lipo), mesotherapy ( kythera) are used for subcutaneous fat reduction and/or skin tightening but are primarily for use elsewhere or without fda approval at this time for facial fat removal. Buccal fat extraction is also another method. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers
