Dosage Of Acefyl Syrup
Generally not used:
Generally decongestants are not recommended in children younger than age 4-6 because of the potential for side effects. If your child is having allergic congestion you should check with your doctor about meds, but a tsp of benadryl, (diphenhydramine) or 1 tsp of loratidine, the anti histamine in lorinase would be ok. But check with your doctor
saline nose sprays can also aid in combating nasal congestion Read more
Can a seven year old child take tablets with the same dosage (not halved) as its syrup medication?
Read the: Instructions and go by his weight or whatever they recommend. I don't have a bottle here with me, or you can go to a dosage site on the web if no one knows that off the top of their head. Good luck. Read more
Hi sir... Can I give relent syrup to my 7 months old baby for caugh and cold. If yes what should be the dosage. Thank you.
Definitely not!: Please have your 7 month old examined by his/her doctor to see if any treatment is indicated. Cough and cold medications (other than acetaminophen or ibuprofen for fever/pain) are not safe for a baby of this age and would not help. He/she should be checked to make sure his/her chest is clear and check for ear infection. Read more

What is the zyrtec (cetirizine) syrup dosage for a 21kg child & what is the max dosage per day. Thanks?
Medication: Usually the answer is yes. For example standard liquid Diphenhydramine (benadryl) as 12.5mg in every 5ml of liquid. If you were giving 2 tsp (10ml) that would be 25mg which is the same as giving one 25mg tablet. Just make sure you are comparing all active ingredients. Many over the counter meds have more than one thing in them. Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Ondem Syrup: In the US this is Zoran or generic name Ondansetron. It is used for nausea and vomiting. The usual pediatric dose for children four years and older is 4 mg orally every 8 hours as needed. The syrup usually comes in 2mg per 5 ml, so that would be 10 ml for this child. As always check with the physician who prescribed it and your pharmacist. Read more
What is the adult dosage of mucosolvan syrup in the case of productive cough? Started today only - no fever.

It doesn't give the concentration of the syrup so I can't be more specific. Check the package insert for dosing instructions or consult with your pharmacist or physician for more details. Read more
