Be careful.: Regardless of what you have read on "natural health" web sites, there is no credible evidence that oral vitamin d is an effective treatment for psoriasis. High doses can raise your calcium levels to the point where you can develop kidney stones and other serious medical problems. 800-1000 iu is a safe daily dosage to prevent vitamin d deficiency. ...Read more
Not cause, but....: It's a really important deficiency to correct as well and soon as possible. here are links to depression reported and even to thought disorders, but all mental symptoms can overlap and if anxiety is a tendency for you, a D deficiency might contribute to you feel that way. Unusual response: This is a very unusual reaction to Vit D. You are more likely to be reacting to the other ingredients in the supplement so look for a pure Vit D3 with minimal additives. Most adults need 5-8000 iu/day to get optimal levels of 50-80. You probably don't need calcium unless your diet is low in calcium but it is wise to take Vit K with Vit D.
