Insomnia Treatment: 2 suggestions: a) ask your GP or do a google search for CBT I for Insomnia - it's a well-researched and effective non-medication approach to insomnia that's better than meds. Nonetheless, medications may be helpful. So, b) Ask your GP to try Trazadone. Pharmaceutical Melatonin, Rozerem, is another option. Stop the pills: Rather than taking another pill I think you need to step back and be evaluated for the diagnosis of insomnia. Your sleep pattern has to be analyzed your blood needs to be drawn. Therapy for anxiety: Agree with advice re insomnia and sleep hygiene. Try 0.5 mg Ativan on a non-work day morning so you'll have answer to drowsiness when you can take a nap if necessary. If too sedating, try 0.25 mg but may not cover your anxiety symptoms.
