Possibly: Infectious mononucleosis can produce hepatitis but this is unlikely to produce permanent damage to the liver, which is an organ with remarkable ability to recover and regenerate. Yes: Your body has quite a tolerance when it comes to illness & it would let you know if it didn't like sleeping on your belly by not allowing it. Not a good idea: When you have an enlarged spleen, it is possible for it to rupture (break open) if you hit something. That can be dangerous and make you need emergency surgery. Spleens can be different sizes, but generally the bigger, the worse the risk from being hit. Also, people with mono are often too tired to enjoy or do well with skiing. You should ask your: own doctor,since she/he knows you best.The answer also depends on when you were diagnosed.The biggest risk in mono is injury to the spleen,which is more likely when it is enlarged,and most commonly occurs earlier in the illness.
