Does Wearing Makeup Cause Acne
Any: Any product applied to acne-prone skin can cause acne... But "non-comedogenic" products are less likely because they lack ingredients known to clog pores & cause acne in "most" people. So, advise that everything (including other skin care products) applied to your face be oil-free non-comedogenic products, and that you remove/wash off all makeup & daytime skin products before bed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Not that i know of: As far I know, the answer to all those question is no. I would recommend talking to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon (like myself) to get on a good skin care regimen if you are concerned. ...Read more
Can makeup cause acne? My daughter has mild to moderate acne but she loves wearing makeup (it is non-comedogenic)? Any particular brand suggestions?
Pimples occur in hair follicles, not in pores. So why is "non-comedogenic" (doesn't clog pores) makeup better for avoiding acne?
Pore around follicle: There are minute hairs at the pore opening. Oil glands come to the surface at pores and are associated with small hair follicles. Comedogenic products block the opening form the oil gland causing an accumulation of debris and eventually inflammation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Does benzoyl peroxide cream or gel help with uneven skin tone caused from sun & blemishes caused from pimples? Help
Retin A (tretinoin) poss better: Benzoyl peroxide can be a useful agent for the treatment of acne, but probably doesn't really help pigmentation caused by acne or other causes.
