What are some common symptoms of vitamin deficiency? I have suffered weigh loss, easy bruising, sore bones and joints. Dr told me to take a daily vitamin.

Good start: The most common vitamin deficiency is d, which causes a lot of nonspecfic pain and some other problems. Especially with the weight loss, or if your pain syndrome does not resolve quickly, it would be wise to continue to seek a cause -- possibly malabsorption contributing to a vitamin deficiency. Good luck and stay proactive. ...Read more

Hi, I am a vegetarian. Going on 6 years now with no problems. I noticed I am bruising a lot easier now. Is this a vitamin deficiency? I work graveyard

Could be vitamin def: Vitamin deficiencies are a common cause of bruising. Possiblities include Vitamins C, D and K. Bioflavanoid deficiency and zinc deficiency can cause this too. Everyone will become deficient in D if they do not supplement in fall and winter months (I advise 5-8000 iu/day). I advise everyone to take a multivit. Many multis don't have Vit K so try separate K.
