Prob not needed: There are some theoretical questions about the interaction of vitamin C with oral contraceptive pills. Taking vitamin C may result in increased blood concentration of estradiol which, again theoretically, might impact the pill's effectiveness. 600 mg is a moderate dose; I would try to get more vitamin C in my diet, & limit supplemental vitamin C to 250 mg. VitaminC is safe and: No it does not have any effect on it. If you have any concern you can lower your vitamin c to 500 mg per day which is more than plenty for your daily vitamin c needs. ...Read more

It is ok to take: The maximum recommended dose of vit c during pregnancy for women over the age of 19 is 2000 mgm, so it is ok to take 1000 mgm if you have been taking for long time. Higher dose than that can cause scurvy in newborn babies.
