High B12: Usually taking too much. Sometimes liver disease.
Palpitations: Vitmamin b-2 deficiency may have associated extrasystoles.
Vitamin B12 def: Actually it's the other way around, Vit b12 def causes the anemia. B12 def occurs in people who are vegetarian and don't take vitamin supplement, also malabsorption could lead to B12 def, also there is a condition called pernicious anemia which is an autoimmune disease and these patient cannot absorb b12.See 1 more doctor answer
B12 deficiency: Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause many problems, including anemia (along with folate (folic acid) deficiency); fatigue; weakness; weight loss; and neurological changes like numbness & tingling extremities, trouble with balance, and confusion, depression & dementia. The latter 2 can produce cognitive changes including trouble w/memory. Workup of this includes checking B12 & folate (folic acid) levels -- your doc can help!
Intake + Absorption: Vitamin b12, aka cyanocobalamin, is common in a huge variety of foods; low intake rare. However, none of us absorb B12 directly. Instead, the cells of the upper? Of the stomach which secrete hydrochloric, hcl, acid also produce & secrete a protein, called intrinsic-factor, which binds b12. The small intestines absorb intrinsic-factor with whatever B12 is bound, & the B12 is thereby also absorbed.
It does not!: It is non toxic and levels higher than those bound to transcolbalmin are excreted in the urine!
My Vitamin B12 is 335 pg/mL then it says Low: <146 pg/mL I rarely eat cause I don't have a appetite and at times go up to 4 or 5 days w/o food why?
Anorexia: Appetite is a complex process mediated by the brain, emotions, metabolic needs, health of the gut & surrounding organs. Lack of weight loss would be good news here. I recommend a visit to your doctor to discuss the circumstances that preceded your anorexia & that may contribute to its persistence. Simple testing is appropriate. Of note, your B12 level is normal.

Will vitamin b12 injections cause weight gain. I don't want to gain weight. But I feel better taking them?
Whoa: If you have been prescribed B12 injections or other suitable replacement therapy based on sound evidence (i.e., labs and a real diagnosis), and you refuse to take them, you will pay for it with your health, your mind, and ultimately your life. They actually do not cause weight gain. SIck people feeling better after treatment may eat more. I'm sorry you were given faulty information. Best wishes.
What can cause extremely high vitamin B12 levels? My result was >2, 000... I thought diet and/or supplements wouldn't cause high levels.
Decisive treatment: Don't know if it's the cause of your itch, if you are B12 deficient, either from an ill-advised experiment with a vegetarian lifestyle without supplementation, or pernicious anemia or harboring a fish tapeworm, you had better start getting supplemented now and continuing or you are going to end up with brain damage. Forgive my frankness, and I hope your physician made this clear as well.
No: Although vitamin B12 is water soluble it is not excreted in sweat
My vitamin B12 level is 148. Is it possible for this to be the cause of my dizziness? Heamaglobin is 141 and ferritin is 26.
Yes: Dizziness is a common symptom of B12 deficiency. That's a very low level- get treated immediately! See http://articles. Mercola.
