Several responses: I am not sure how or who is treating your proctitis but the common treatment is the mesalamine which is in a suppository form although can take orally as well. Non steroid treatment this is good overall. Of course steroid treatment can work well but that is only if this does not work. The treatment is for usually 6 to 8 weeks but depends on your disease.
