Doubt it's the heart: I don't think your symptoms can be caused by your heart given your description of the echo findings. There could be many other causes of your symptoms. Could be: If you had an echo and the valve is ok you could have shortness of breath from the lungs. There is a condition call post pericadiotomy syndrome this is more common in younger patients. It can cause fluid around the heart and lungs. It is self limited. It can be treated with medication. Youd us can also have shortness of breath secondary to the surgery itself. Nothing: If you haven't had the echo, then the diagnosis of mvp has not been established. Even if you do have it, mvp does not cause these symptoms. Doctors blame all kinds of things on mvp but they are not related. There is no treatment required for mvp and none that is helpful.
