Can a obese person with vericose veins go gymming & do high intensity cardio work out or yoga? Do the veins feel extra pressure & worsen vericose vein
Obesity and veins: Obesity and varicose veins is not a contraindication to working out and yoga. In fact, exercise is good for improving venous return which will reduce the venous pressure. Cardio exercises such as spinning, elliptical, biking and stair climbing are better for the veins than pounding exercises such as running. ...Read more

Give me suggestions about diet plan and exercise to increase my muscle size and strength. I noticed only small development in 6 months of gymming.
Decrease processed carbohydrates, such as bread, pasta, cookies, and so on. Eat well balanced meals, including healthy carbs, fats, and proteins. Drink water.
Do weight intensive exercises with your major muscles, working to do each set to exhaustion. One or two sets, six to eight reps each, once or twice a week, so show excellent results in two months. You may not be using heavy enough weights. ...Read more

I had a myomectomy on 12december2012. I was told 4 weeks post op and I can start gymming. Is it too soon? Still feels swollen around the scar.
If ok with surgeon: Different surgeons may have different opinions but I think it is reasonable to begin low impact aerobic exercise and light weights with addition of increasing resistance over the next 3 weeks. Monitor your wound in the progress. It often takes up to 48 hours to assess pain and tenderness after a new exercise regimen do start slowly. Compression garments over the scar may help minimize swelling. ...Read more

Hey, Doctor I go to Gym daily & have started to INTAKE endura Mass as PROTEIN. Thus Should I take it 1 HOUR before Gymming OR Suddenly after Gymming?
Does not matter:
If you are taking a mixed diet, there is no need for the protein supplement. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.

I underwent laproscopic repair for scrotal inguinal hernia in march 2013. Recently I started gymming with light weights, and I notice a bulge. Help?
Yes: Doing exercise at the gym is fine to do, even with low vitamin d levels. One should contact her doctor if she gets new symptoms during working out at the gym (increasing the intensity of workouts very gradually, makes it less likely to get the aches and pains of "over-use" symptoms. The doctor might prescribe 50, 000 units of vitamin d per week, if a patient is very low on her test results. ...Read more
I'm really insecure about my stretch marks especially now with this hot guy that works out and asks me to gym with him. I feel stuck. I like him. Help?
All are different: There really is not one answer. Each machine has its benefits. My thought is choose something that you think you will like to do three times a weeks on a consistent basis. You want to work on all muscle groups and a three time a week regiment would work well. Perhaps you could supplement the above with therabands or dumbbells if you have a limited budget and space. ...Read more

Yes: It's not hard science, but most people who exercise find their body reaches a comfortable zone, the right weight for them. Being fit seems to program the brain to eat more in keeping with what's right for the body. I'd urge you also to stay fit for the conditioning effect on your muscles alone -- greatly helps the body's metabolic symphony. Good luck. ...Read more
Make it a habit: This is everyone's burning question. You are at an age where you have an opportunity to make decisions that will influence how you age. Once you start experiencing physical problems related to aging, it will be much more difficult to engage good habits. You will have the motivation, but you will be physically less able or unable. Most people wait until they have a health scare to change their habi ...Read more
If you no longer have a gym to work out in, what home exercises will maintain a body in great shape?
No gym, no problem: The gym is in you heart and mind. I work out ala rocky balboa (use rocks instead if dumb bell. A tree branch for pull ups. An old set of pajama pants or rubber tubbing from home depot to strech my legs, instead of an expensive rubber bands from sport shop). Most important, I work out by doing things I like and enjoy. You have to have fun to feel strong. ...Read more

I'm going to start gym 3to4 times a week, going before work. Any advice on breakfast, food after workout, general diet? Any general advice? Thanks!
This is great: As you become fit, your body will guide you. Protein after a workout is a good thing, though more than 20 grams is plenty and more does not offer a benefit. Lean protein is key. Avoid greasy, salty, and sugary stuff. Most advice on diet in the gym is non-evidence-based; the key is the fitness-focused lifestyle. You are giving yourself a wonderful gift. Your physician can be your guide. ...Read more
I am 34M and I am under weight can you suggest any weight gainer. I do not want to go to gym as I donot have time for this. And I work in night shifts?
Invest in health!: Most young men who want to gain weight want to gain muscle. Focus on healthy diet--fruits, vegetables, oatmeal--and especially protein: eggs, beans, lentils, fish, low fat dairy products. Probably need at least 2400 cal/day. I do not recommend herbal supplements for healthy weight gain. And NOW is the best time to commit to life balance: being fit and eating healthy are investments you must make! ...Read more

No: Masturbation should be harmless to the body as long as he or she does not use too much force or friction on his or her genitals. One should realize that the body has essentially the same response to masturbation as to sex for the purpose of reproduction. That means the body reacts just as it does during sexual intercourse, which, of course, has no harmful side effects on the body. ...Read more

Hello. I am working out at gym and I am using protein after work out. I like to know using protein is harmful or not?? Thank you
Likely not: There are a few medical conditions where supplemental protein might be unwise but if you are normal these products are just another simple source of nutrition. They would be helpful if you do not have an otherwise balanced diet and that is their selling point. However, most would do just as well without them. Working with a dietitian to identify weak areas in your diet might be more help long term ...Read more

Getting lean: Fat burners don't work very well for most people, and the big jolt of caffeine and the stimulant herbs may keep you on edge. The way to ripped abs is to eat low-calorie food that you enjoy and do a lot of cardio. Reprogramming your habits will be much more enjoyable even short-term than stuff that will make you feel yucky.
