Does The Color Yellow Make Babies Cry
My baby is spitting up yellowed mucus, has seedy yellow loose stools, sounds congested, and is crying a lot. What's wrong with her? No fever.
Need more info: Do not know the age of the baby, what other symptoms may be present, whether she is feeding appropriately, sleeping too much, irritable, or other vital info. Strongly suggest that you take her asap and be seen by a doctor to make certain nothing serious is going on, or at least call and speak with a pediatrician. ...Read more
Crying in infancy is described as a loud, high-pitched sound made by infants in response to certain situations. Infants have a cry reflex that is a normal response to some stimuli, such as pain or hunger. Older children and adults cry for emotional reasons such as pain, fear, sadness, or frustration. Premature infants may not have a cry reflex, so they must be monitored closely for signs ...Read more
Doctor, i am beyond worried. My 3month old suddenly was oozing yellow sticky pus on one side of his head. The emergency room gave him mupirocin and cephalexin. Is this ok? I can't stop crying. Will my only breast fed baby be ok? Please respond. Please!
Abscess: I am assuming the oozing was from his scalp and not his ear right? So it sounds like your son developed an abscess and it ruptured. The antibiotic and the ointment you were prescribed are absolutely appropriate.I recommend close follow-up with the pediatrician to make sure that all is healing well.Keep the area clean, monitor for increasing redness or swelling.Complete all medicines exactly directed ...Read more

My son is 3 weeks old & his right eye keeps getting these yellow crusties on it & it keeps watering like he's crying tears. What could it be I wipe it?
Nasolacrimal duct: stenosis or blocked tear duct. The tear duct can have a thin membrane blocking it so tears run down the face and lots of crusties develop. Your doctor can show you how to massage the duct and you can clean the eyes with clean water on a cotton ball. It usually resolves by 6 months and if not can be treated with a simple surgery, If red eyes, swelling or change in DC see doctor ...Read more

My son has been taking nystatin for thrush. Past 2 days hes constantly crying & today he's been throwing up & it is clear with yellow, what's wrong?
Many possibilities: I am going to assume the baby is less than a month, since he's on thrush medicine. It is possible that he has a virus IF you can think of a contact with illness that he has been around. In a young baby, there could be other causes, any thing from a bowel blockage to reflux. I would see your pediatrician for this soon. How are his wet diapers? We want at LEAST one every 8 hours. Lost weight? ...Read more
My 2 month old baby doesnot sleep till 5 am in the night. Is it normal or need to worry?she does not cry but looks everywhere.how can we make her sleep
3 monthbreatfed baby hasn't pooped in 7 days and when he finally did same yellow color but very thick and creamy like peanut butter, normal?
Probably OK: It is not unusual for babies to have change in stool pattern as they grow. . Also, it is normal for breastfed babies to have longer periods of time with no stools. Breast milk is the perfect baby food, thus there is less "waste" so to speak. If the baby's stomach is not distended, and he has a large soft stool infrequently this is not constipation requiring intervention. ...Read more
