Tea Tree Oil And Moles
No: It is a weak estrogen and has given men gynecomastia. It is the one topical remedy for active lesions of acne for people who belong to cults that allow only plant-based medicine. I would urge these people to wise up, especially if they're responsible for a teen's physical and emotional health. They won't touch scars, which should never be allowed to develop nowadays. ...Read more
Several treatments.: The reason you hear so many different treatments for toenail fungus is because there is no perfect, sure-fire treatment that works 100% of the time. I've seen vaporub work, as well as other natural oil remedies, but very rarely. You can also try laser therapy, antifungal creams, paints, or even oral medications if your doctor deems you healthy enough to take them. ...Read more
Tea tree oil will not cure this fungal infection. Apply a topical antifungal treatment that you can buy over the counter to the involved skin several times a day for 2 to 4 weeks until 1 week after the rash has resolved.
These can contain terbinafine, miconazole, clotrimazole, or other azoles. It takes a while for the rash to fade so don't panic. Good luck. ...Read more
Don't bother.: I see patients all the time who have tried tea tree oil + various other oils; their acne is no better, but they do complain of dryness, itching, stinging, burning, and redness. At least 1 published study showed that tea tree oil can cause abnormal breast growth (gynecomastia) in boys. So don't waste your time & money; let a dermatologist prescribe legitimate acne remedies for you. ...Read more

Could be blood: Don't squeeze pimples on your face! Now you know why. You may have broken a small blood vessel and the leaked blood is a "black and blue " and it will will go away on its own. Your pimples may be because you have acne. There are OTC treatments for that. Look at the web. Speak to your ...Read more
Keloid/Hypertrophic: Keloids & hypertrophic scars are basically treated the same initially: silicone tape/gel (myscaraway, from walgreens/online). If these don't help, see your dr for steroid/bleomycin injections, or external electron-beam radiotherapy. Do not let anyone cut it out if keloid confirmed, it will simply grow larger! ...Read more

After getting my eyebrows waxed my skin around it had a bad reaction would tea tree oil calm the redness and get rid of the tiny itchy pimples?
Tea tree oil may sting: If the area is already irritated, using tea tree oil may sting, burn, or irritate the skin. So it may make the area more red and inflamed. You're better off using something that's much more mild and less stinging. Pure lavender oil (lavandula agustafolia) is more soothing, because it has less camphor in it, but if it's made from (lavandula), it will be just as irritating as tea tree oil. So read your labels. ...Read more

Sometimes: Tea tree oil has antiseptic and antifungal properties. People have been using them as such purposes for years. Some people have had success on fungal nails (onychomycosis). In my practice I have seen little success with tea tree oil use. However, I do believe that if applied at least once a day routinely, it will help clear fungal nails if used early in the disease phase. ...Read more

Is it removing moles with tea tree oil possible? Regardles to some clinical trials I cannnot see how it can remove some in sito dysplastic nevus?
Wouldn't count on it: No matter what you read either on the internet or in a journal about tea tree oil, I definitely would not rely on it to treat any type of dysplastic nevus. Even a lesion in situ! It is always best to excise (have them surgically removed) and send to the pathologist, so you can have proof that the entire lesion is out. ...Read more

Myth but use if help: Many of my patients swear by the benefits of tea tree or bio-oil and so I generally don't dissuade them but there is very little science to support its use. It is probably the massage, (which we know helps scars) that is used to apply the oil, which is actually providing the improvements observed. Massage with any clean oil 3-4 times a day. Silicon gel trips are morel likely to improve the scar. ...Read more
