Chronic Diarrhea: Loperamide is not to be used in possible cases of infectious diarrhea. With diarrhea that has lasted this long, you need to be evaluated. There are several infectious and non-infectious causes. Get a referral to a gastroenterologist and have your stool tested for O&P, get a full history & exam.
