Forget it: Levothyroxine only helps if you have a deficient thyroid level, and you need to take the proper dose and take it daily. It takes 6 weeks to get into your system, so taking a pill occasionally is like spitting in the ocean. It can't help and may may thing worse, particularly if you don't need it. ...Read more

Goiter hypothyroid: Discomfort and tenderness..... of what? The thyroid? Levothyroxine should not cause you discomfort, unless you are taking too much, and it is causing you to be hyperthyroid. Hyperthyroidism can make it hard to sleep, along with palpitations, heat intolerance, tremor, etc. If the thyroid is tender, you may have thyroiditis. Talk to your doctor about these symptoms. ...Read more

6 hours of sleep: may be all that you need although it is generally recommended that one attempt to get 7-8 hours. The effects of Prozac are felt typically after 10 -14 days. Discuss your concerns with your doctor after you give the medicine another 5-9 fays to do its thing. You might consider using a different agent (Paxil (paroxetine) and Prozac tend to be "activating" ) ...Read more
