Thyroiditis: You have an inflammation of your thyroid gland. It became swollen and released excess thyroid hormone (thyroxine) into the blood stream which caused the low TSH. Now the thyroid has become unable to use iodine effectively to produce thyroxine and the pituitary is increasing TSH to signal the thyroid to produce more. The TOO indicates this is autoimmune. You need treatment with thyroid hormone. ...Read more

Trying to conceive taking prenatal vitamins at night and now can't sleep. Have to take at night due to synthroid (thyroxine). Is this normal reaction to prenatals?
Don't take at night!:
This isn't exactly "normal" but not unheard of, as prenatal vits have B complex which can be stimulating & can cause insomnia. Just because you take synthroid (thyroxine) doesn't mean you have to take them at nite. One shouldn't take calcium at the same time but you can take it a few hours later- try the prenatal with lunch. You might need T3 too- see http://tinyurl. Com/n4zmkro
